The weatherman was ridiculed by fans for not wearing a check shirt[/caption]
Matt has often been seen looking smart in a suit when he is on breakfast telly.
But it has become a tradition for whoever is presenting the weather during Countryfile to go a little more casual and wear checked shirts.
However, Matt opted for a rather sedate greenish-grey number without a check in sight – and fans were left far from impressed.
It came as the 45-year-old took his place in front of the screen to provide his weather forecast for the week ahead.

One person had posted a message wondering what Matt would be wearing before he even appeared.
So when he was seen on screen several people took to Twitter to make their feelings known.
Alongside an array of confused-faced emojis, one person penned: “Matt, you’ve really let the side down. A rather disappointing shirt, to say the very least.”
Echoing their comments, someone else said: “Matt’s wearing a shirt the colour of the sky during the huge thunderstorm we had yesterday.”
While a third joked: “Matt, I pay your wages. Wear a check shirt!”
