ON THURSDAY night’s episode of EastEnders, Linda Carter had her surgery, but the doctor had some bad news for her family.

Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) and the rest of her family – including daughter Nancy Carter (Maddy Hill) got some devastating news as the doctor updated them on her health.

Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) was actually responsible for the crash but she blamed Linda for what happened.

This could mean one of the soaps longest running characters would be permanently affected by memory loss.

The doctor said: “Linda is stable. However, the trauma to the brain is worse than we thought. There’s no way of knowing what state she’ll be in until she comes around. She might not remember the crash, or the hours, days, months even leading up to it”.

“I don’t mean to alarm you – but you need to prepare yourself, she may no longer be the Linda you know. There isn’t anything I can tell you at the moment, I’m sorry, but I’ll keep you informed. You may be better off waiting for news at home.”

Nancy was horrified by the news and she broke down in tears.

Now fans of the BBC One soap are predicting that Janine will get away with her lies.

“Omg Linda might have amnesia and Janine is gonna get away with it all!! # EastEnders,” one fan wrote.

A second added: “damn I wonder if Linda will have memory loss then #Eastenders.”
