LOVE Island’s Gemma Owen has a big cheerleader in her mum Louise Owen, who is big on supporting her and other contestants.
In between looking after her four kids with footballer Michael Owen and tending to her horses, Louise has been keeping up to date on all things Love Island.
That includes keeping a close on eye on social media.
While they’re in the Love Island villa, contestants will usually have a family member or friend post on their Instagram.
Louise has not failed to like all of Gemma’s Love Island content and also follows dancer Tasha Ghouri.
The doting mum has like almost every post of Tasha’s since going into the villa, including her kissing Andrew.
But there’s one notable absence on Louise’s following list and that’s Gemma’s villa boyfriend, Luca Bish.
Both Islanders started the new series with different people – Gemma with Liam and Luca with Paige – before getting together at the end of the first week.
But their relationship was tested when Gemma’s ex, Jacques O’Neill, entered the villa.
Luca went off in a strop on Tuesday’s show after Gemma accidentally referred to Luca as her ex ‘Jacques’.
Gemma tried to tell Luca that she does not have feelings for Jacques as she apologised for calling him his name.
Following her faux pas, she said: “I absolutely didn’t mean to say it. It was a genuine mistake.

“I have no feelings for him and I’m not interested in getting back with him.”
But Luca was not convinced and seemed to shift the goal posts on Gemma during the discussion.
“It makes it weirder for me that two minutes later you were in there with your ex,” he said.
She hit back: “Don’t roll your eyes at me and stop being a p***k.
“I’ll come to you and say I’m in the wrong, it was a mistake, I’ve no feelings for him and I have no interest in getting back with him – you want to carry on, I’m not interested in having an argument with you.
“It was a genuine mistake, I’m sorry, I can appreciate you feeling angry. That’s all I have to say.”
But then he accused her of “getting worked up” and told her “don’t be silly.”
“Stop being silly and come sit down. Sit down,” he demanded.
She asked: “What else are you going to say?”
Luca said: “I don’t want to argue. I don’t want to argue.”
Afterwards Luca told the cameras: “It’s uncomfortable, but it is what it is and it ain’t gonna stop me wanting to get to know you…”
Louise and Michael often head to the races and enjoy the benefits of hospitality with their friends and family.
The couple pair met in primary school in 1984 and became childhood sweethearts.
They became engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2004 – which is also Louise’s birthday – when he proposed at their home.
Along with Gemma, the couple also have James Michael, Emily May and Jessica.
