PETER Andre has insisted he won’t get daughter Princess a dog for her 15th birthday as ‘it’s not just a six-month commitment’.
The teenager was previously left heartbroken following the tragic death of her puppy Rolo, who was gifted to her on her 13th birthday from her mum Katie Price, back in July 2020.
Just months after the pup’s death, Katie – who has owned a number of pets in the past – went on to surprise Princess with a second dog – a French bulldog puppy called Precious.
Her eldest daughter came up with the sweet name and the pet was thought of as a sister to Katie’s longstanding protection dog Blade.
However, Precious didn’t last long in the Pricey household after Katie gifted the dog to a crew member working on her Mucky Mansion TV show.
At the time, the lucky new owner boasted about his new pet on Instagram.

He introduced Precious to his followers with a series of snaps and videos, and wrote: “One week of fatherhood. You’ve changed the game, you smelly, snoring, dobby-eared, adorable little pig.
“I thought about changing your name, but now it makes total sense. Welcome to London, Precious.”
When asked by a friend in the comments if Precious was in fact his, he replied: “She sure is!”
But while Katie isn’t afraid to introduce new pets into the family, Peter has decided against getting Princess a dog for her birthday.

In his latest column for New magazine, 49-year-old Peter said: “It’s Princess’ 15th birthday this week and although like every year she is desperate for a dog, I always have to explain that it’s not just a six-month commitment.
“Understandably, she is getting to the age where she wants to do her own thing and hang out with her friends, and so she should.
“And with me and Emily at work and the kids at school it just doesn’t seem fair on the dog.”
He added: “I might change my mind in six months, but now doesn’t seem like the right time, so I’m getting her some clothes she likes instead.”

Princess celebrated her birthday on Wednesday alongside her famous dad and older brother Junior at a family meal.
Her step mum Emily and step brother and sister Theo and Amelia were also there.
Meanwhile, Katie – who fled abroad after she was spared jail – is currently on holiday in Thailand.
Marking her daughter’s special day on Instagram, Katie shared: “No words to describe my love for my Princess and our unbreakable bond, had 15 years and lots to come, happy birthday Princess.”
