This year the nut company is going in a more traditional direction with two celebrated actors sharing the screen in place of the monocled Mr Peanut in the company’s ad campaign during Super Bowl LVI.

Planters Peanuts’ latest ad has over five million views on YouTube since being posted on January 23, 2022.
Titled “The Disagreement”, the 30-second spot features Masked Singer host Ken Jeong and suave actor Joel McHale.
The two shared the silver screen during the six-season run of NBC’s Community.
The show was created by future Rick and Morty developer Dan Harmon.
Who owns the Planters Peanuts company?
The Planters Nut & Chocolate Company was owned by the Kraft Heinz Company before being acquired by Hormel Foods.
Hormel Foods owns recognizable products like Skippy Peanut Butter and Spam.
Hormel Foods had a processing plant shut down on April 18, 2020, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
At the time, little was known about Covid-19 and the closure came as a frightening omen for what was to come.
Hormel is one of the older American food companies, founded in the 19th century over 130 years ago.

Super Bowl LVI will be aired live on NBC on February 13, 2022, with the kick off scheduled for 6:30pm EST.
