Who is Kevin James?
Born on April 26, 1965, Kevin James is a comedian, actor, and screenwriter.
Raised in New York, Kevin went on to claim the number one spot on his high school wrestling team – just ahead of future pro, Mick Foley.
After a stint on the varsity football team at the State University of New York at Cortland, Kevin suffered an injury and called it quits on his sporting career.
He turned to stand-up comedy in 1989 and then shot to fame following appearances on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, Late Show With David Letterman, and The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
His television career then saw him appear on The New Candid Camera, MTV sports game show SandBlast, and the hit CBS sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond.
From here, Kevin landed his very own sitcom: The King Of Queens.
The show ran from 1998 through 2007 and saw him nominated for several awards.
He also starred in the 2016 sitcom Kevin Can Wait, and the Netflix series The Crew.

Following a cameo in 50 First Dates in 2004, his big-screen moments include co-starring with Adam Sandler in I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry, appearing in the comedy Grown Ups with numerous Saturday Night Live alumni, and having a lead role with Vince Vaughn in comedy-drama The Dilemma.

Kevin is married to fellow entertainer, Steffiana de la Cruz.
The pair got hitched in 2004 after meeting on a blind date three years earlier.

Off-screen, the couple remains pretty private, but Kevin often shares adorable photos of their lives together on Instagram.
On their anniversary in 2020, Kevin posted: “16 years ago today! You’re all I need… and the kids… and Friday night pizza… and Sunday pasta… but that’s it… you, the kids, pizza, pasta. Love you…Deo Gratias.”
And on Valentine’s Day, he also declared his love for Steffiana, posting: “Happy St. Valentine’s Day my love… Nothing will ever come between us… I love you all… even you. #valentinesday #love.”

Does Kevin James have children?
Kevin and Steffiana share four children.
The eldest, Sienna-Marie, was born in 2005, followed by Shea Joelle in 2007.
The couple then welcomed Kannon Valentine into the world on Easter Sunday in 2011, and Sistine Sabella was born in 2015.
Kevin has said he “just loves being a dad,” and joked that his kids provide excellent comedic material.
He told People in 2020: “Honestly, they all come in with their home runs [jokes].
“They don’t mean to, but they provide a wealth of comedy. All of our writers have kids, and man, we just draw from it.”
