Furthermore, the actress’ last film, ‘Thalaivii,’ a biographical drama based on the life of Indian actress turned politician J.Hayalalithaa, a bilingual film released in Tamil and Hindi in the previous year, was also a flop. Against a production budget of 100 crores, the film only made ten crores.
Returning to Dhaakad, it has fallen behind the actress’s last flop, grossing only 3.77 crores against a production budget of 100 crores. Razneesh Ghai enhanced the film, which was produced by Sohum Rockstar Entertainment and financed by Deepak Mukut and Sohel Maklai.
