Actress Sherilyn Fenn has been showing her support for Johnny Depp online as his defamation case against Amber Heard continues, but did the pair ever date?
Johnny Depp’s past relationships have resurfaced amid his defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard. Former partners Winona Ryder and Vanessa Paradis defended him during his libel case against UK’s The Sun newspaper in 2020, stating he was “never violent” towards them.

Although no longer a couple, the Twin Peaks actress has fond memories of her time spent with the Pirates Of The Caribbean actor; she’s posted several photos of Depp during the past few months, calling him her “first love”.
She was 19 years old at the time of dating, while the actor was 21.

As the relationship started in the early years of their careers it’s one of Johnny’s lesser-known romances in comparison with Depp’s links to Kate Moss, Ryder and Paradis.
Fenn, now 57, rose to fame in the early Nineties with her portrayal of fan-favourite Audrey Horn in Twin Peaks, but they had already split up by then.

Like many of Depp’s relationships, the pair met on-set; the future couple worked on the set of a student film entitled Dummies in 1985. They almost collaborated again the next year on Thrashin’, but Depp lost the lead role.
Depp and Fenn started dating soon after the former divorced his first wife, Lori Anne Allison, after two years of marriage.
Other than Dummies, she appeared alongside Depp on a 1987 episode of 21 Jump Street entitled Blindsided.
There were even unverified rumours of the pair getting engaged. If true, it wasn’t meant to be; they parted ways after three-and-a-half years in 1989. Neither of them have addressed the reason for the split.
The Twin Peaks actress still speaks fondly of her ex-boyfriend, though, calling their romance “real love” in 2017. “It was with someone who was walking the same path but, even if he wasn’t, the love and the connection was strong enough – cooking meals, hanging out, laughing and crying,” she told The Big Issue. ” I know him as a human, not a movie star.”
The Edward Scissorhands actor found romance with Jennifer Grey that same year, who he also had a short-lived engagement with.
Fenn dated the musician Prince before Depp but eventually tied the knot with guitarist-songwriter Toulouse Holliday in 1994 after meeting on the set of Three Of Hearts. They divorced three years later and have one son, Myles, born December 1993.
The Detroit, Michigan, native has been in a relationship with Dylan Stewart since 2006, although it’s not known whether they are married. They share a son called Christian, born 2007.
Johnny Depp is suing Amber Heard for defamation because of an op-ed she wrote for the Washington Post in 2018. Heard is countersuing Depp. The case is set to continue.
