Is Johnny Depp right or left-handed? Depp-Heard trial continues

The defamation case between actor Johnny Depp and ex-wife Amber Heard has entered its fifth week after a temporary pause.

Johnny Depp is suing Amber Heard for defamation due to an op-ed she published in the Washington Post in 2018. He has asked for $50 million in damages. Heard is countersuing Depp and has asked for $100 million in damages and immunity against his claims.

Onlookers have been both amused and baffled at certain points during the trial with the latest question being, is Johnny Depp right or left-handed?

Depp-Heard defamation case continues

After a temporary pause, the defamation case between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard has resumed.

The Aquaman star testified in the fourth week of the court trial and has now been cross-examined on her version of events surrounding a 2015 argument.

More recently, Heard’s friend Raquel Pennington testified seeing Heard’s injuries after a 2015 fight with Depp, The Independent reports. The 36-year-old’s sister, Whitney Henriquez, also recently testified, alleging that if the actor was “drinking or using drugs (there was) almost always a fight”.

During the trial Depp has denied having an alcohol problem but has admitted to having a problem with prescription pills.

Is Johnny Depp right or left-handed?

Celeb Answers and IMDb both report Johnny Depp is right-handed.

However, confusion may arise because the Hollywood star has used his left hand to write when fulfilling roles in movies. As per IMDb, when starring in 1993 film Benny & Joon, Depp used his left hand to make it seem as though he was an inexperienced writer.

The trivia page reads: “Johnny Depp used his left hand in the writing sequence. Being right handed himself, using his left hand gave off the squiggly impressions of a child’s writing.”
