On August 20, 2020, an Afro-American man named Jacob S. Blake, 29, was shot. After two years, the case is still quite contentious.
Officer Rusten Sheskey shot Blake in Kenosha. Blake was slain because Sheskey shot in self-defense as a result of Blake having a knife in his hand. Four rounds were fired into his back, killing him. According to the police file, Blake was the subject of a warrant. In May 2020, he was charged with third-degree sexual assault.
Who Is Breonna Taylor’s Aunt Bianca Austin?
Breonna Taylor, a 26-year-old Afro-American woman assassinated in Louisville, Kentucky, is related to Bianca Austin.
Seven police officers shot Taylor on March 13, 2020, after she refused to let them into her apartment. She was believed to be a narcotics dealer.
After her lover, Kenneth Walker, mistakenly believed the police were invaders, Taylor was fatally shot. The officers ultimately had to display 32 bullets, one of which had killed Taylor, who was standing behind Walker.
Bianca Austin had been fighting for justice ever since the passing of her niece. She also went to Washington, D.C., for Joe Biden’s inauguration the previous year. Austin has also challenged the general counsel’s decision to withhold legal fees incurred against the officers.

Another Black man, Walker, was shot by the police 60 times on June 27, 2022. After a car chase and an attempted traffic stop, he was killed. Since then, there has been a large-scale demonstration in Akron, Ohio, calling for his justice.
The Police have made video of the shooting available, which has increased protestor anger. After Mayor Dan Horrigan lifted the curfew on Wednesday, the crowd assembled. Several persons, including Bianca Austin and Jacob Blake Sr., were detained.
