Mia Issac stars in the new Amazon Prime movie, Don’t Make Me Go. And it is definitely worth a watch!

Premiering on the popular streaming service today, Don’t Make Me Go, according to Deadline, is a “touching and unpredictable road trip between Issac and John Cho, who portrays her father in the movie.

Issac took to Instagram to celebrate the movie’s premiere and give thanks for being a part of such a wonderful project.

The teen wrote, “…getting to play wally and to be a part of this movie has been the best thing to ever happen to me. i’ve loved wally for almost two years now, and i can’t wait for the rest of the world to love her too. so, today, tomorrow, forever — watch DMMG and remember how special life really is.”

Looking for a synopsis of the action? Well, according this brief sneak peek of what to expect, this is seems like one that will unquestionably tug at the heartstrings.

Cho plays the father, Max, whose wife Nicole (Jen Van Epps) abandoned him and their then 1-year-old daughter Wally (Issac), forcing Max to drop his dreams of a music career and embark on a job he finds boring but necessary in order to give Wally a decent life as he brings her up as a single dad. She seems like a normal teen, both the good and bad aspects, and he is a loving father, but tragedy intervenes when his constant headaches are diagnosed as a brain tumor. He is given no more than a year to live unless he has very risky surgery where he could well die on the table. He declines and decides instead to use the time he has left to give it all to Wally, and in fact convinces her to join him on a road trip across the country to his 20-year high school reunion. She resists, but he sweetens the pot by agreeing to teach her to drive along the way so she can get her license — a dream of any teen. What he doesn’t tell her is that he is dying, or that his real motive is hoping his AWOL ex and her deadbeat mom will also be there so that he can bring them together at this crucial time.

Although Issac is a newcomer to the Tinseltown limelight, she is already poised to headline in an upcoming Hulu series, Black Cake.

Congratulations, Mia! We cannot wait to see what you have on the calendar next. Make sure to tune-in to Don’t Make Me Go this weekend and let us know what you thought about this phenomenal rising star!
