Fans believe William Shakespeare and his wife, also named Anne Hathaway, were reincarnated as Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway and her producer husband Adam Shulman.
The conspiracy notion, while occasionally weirdly persuasive, is still just a theory.
A former cast member of The Princess Diaries and her husband redefine The Time Traveler’s Wife. Adam Shulman’s similarity to English writer William Shakespeare has gone viral on Twitter.
With a now-viral message, @PEACHYBLACKG0RL left over 400 thousand Twitter followers perplexed in 2018. “Anne Hathaway is being discussed for her attractiveness, but what about the fact that her husband looks a lot like William Shakespeare, and William Shakespeare’s wife was literally named Anne Hathaway?” it asks.
To emphasize the similarity, they also placed a picture of Shulman next to a picture of a young Shakespeare. It is, to put it mildly, unsettling and eerie.

What a name worth?
The American actress, 39, who was born Anne Jacqueline Hathaway in Brooklyn, New York, is most known for her role as Princess Mia in The Princess Diaries and her youthful appearance.
The namesake of the actress, Anne Hathaway, was born in Statford-upon-Avon, England, in 1556. In 1582, she wed William Shakespeare. Two daughters and a son who passed away young made comprised the couple’s three children. Shakespeare’s four grandkids all passed away without leaving any offspring, hence his family has no living direct descendants to this day.
Although she hasn’t yet acknowledged it, The Telegraph claims that Hathaway’s name is an homage to William Shakespeare’s wife. On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in 2021, the Les Misérables actress expressed sadness for her moniker.
