Famous Russian mixed martial artist Said Nurmagomedov, who competes as a bantamweight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, is thought to be Khabib’s relative.
At WFC 42, he defeated Luis Nogueira by unanimous decision. He was the previous AFC Bantamweight Champion and has been competing professionally since 2009.

Khabib is not related to Said Nurmagomedov. They are members of an MMA Dynasty but are neither siblings nor cousins.
Many believed Said was linked to the illustrious Khabib Nurmagomedov because of his well-known last name, and when Said signed with the UFC in 2018, many rumours surfaced. Khabib, though, made it clear that he was not related to Said in a 2018 interview with RT Sport.

His parents must be Russian because he is a mixed martial artist.
In the past, Said has competed for Absolute Championship Berkut and World Fighting Championship Akhmat. He has been a professional combatant since 2009.
He was the AFC Bantamweight Champion in the past. He faced Anderson dos Santos at WCFA 35, and after landing numerous jumping knees in the clinch, he submitted dos Santos in the first round.
Said Nurmagomedov’s UFC debuts
Against the unbeaten 4-0 Oscar Nave, Said Nurmagomedov made his professional MMA debut in 2009 at World Ultimate Full Contact 15.
He made a comeback in 2012 at Vale Tudo 3 to take on the newly minted Jolon Uulu Jayloobay after a three-year break. He came back in 2013 to greet Akhmed Sarapov at Liga Kavkaz.
The fighter joined Absolute Championship Berkut in 2014. After signing, he competed in his debut match at the ACB 1 bantamweight Grand Prix against the skilled Asulan Toktarbaev.
Two years later, he switched to World Fighting Championship Akhmat, where his debut matchup was with veteran Diego Marlon.
On July 14, 2018, at UFC Fight Night 133, the professional MMA fighter made his promotional debut against Justin Scoggins, which he won by split decision.
After triumphing, he went on to fight Ricardo Ramos at UFC Fight Night 144 on February 2, 2019. He fought Raoni Barcelos at UFC Fight Night 165 in December 2019, which resulted in a unanimous decision loss for him.
At UFC Fight Night 180 in October 2020, he squared off against promotional newcomer Mark Striegl, whose debut was postponed due to a COVID-19 positive test.
At UFC Fight Night 191, Jack Shore was supposed to be his opponent. However, the MMA fighter withdrew due to visa complications, and Zviad Lazishvili took his place.
He squared up against Cody Stamann at UFC 270 on January 22, 2022. He won by submission in round one of this bout, which earned him the “Performance of the Night” honour. He will now take against Douglas Silva de Andrade at UFC on ESPN 39 on July 9, 2022.
