What Is Wrong With Andrew Brayshaw’s Teeth?

Andrew, a Fremantle midfielder, was unable to play again in the 2018 season and was unable to eat solid food for a month following surgery on his jaw as a result of Eagle Andrew Gaff’s intentional punch.

Andrew had a shattered bone between his teeth as a result of the Andrew Gaff hit, and three teeth had to be splinted in his jaw. Three of his lower teeth were knocked out by the punch, which destroyed the portion of his jaw that connects the upper and lower teeth, according to a comprehensive explanation.

Brayshaw couldn’t remove his mouthguard after the event because numerous teeth were locked within. Physicians were led from Optus Stadium in an ambulance for further medical attention to Royal Perth Hospital after being cautious in removing the mouthguard for fear of tearing the teeth.

At the time of the occurrence, the 19-year-old had to have surgery to fix his shattered jaw and have three misplaced lower teeth replaced and splinted. His lips were re-stitched after being brutally cut open by his teeth.

Andrew Gaff, a senior Eagle, was suspended for eight weeks for purposely hitting the 19-year-old, paying the ultimate price and missing the Eagles’ 2018 premiership.
