During the 30-minute class, Roberts announced that she’s expecting her first child with husband Shane, prompting well-wishes and congratulating messages from yoga fans.

The Peloton instructor has previously detailed how she was unsure what the future would hold when she and Shane up and moved their life from Atlanta, but expressed how excited she is to be pregnant.

Who is Chelsea Jackson Roberts? Age, husband, and family life explored

Dr Chelsea Jackson Roberts is a 43-year-old Peloton instructor, fitness teacher, and yoga fanatic.

According to her official website, Roberts received her doctorate in Educational Studies from Emory University, before going on to found the Yoga, Literature, and Art Camp at Spelman College Museum of Fine Art in 2014.

The fitness instructor also served as a global yoga ambassador for sports apparel brand Lululemon, and is the company’s first African-American ambassador.

The 43-year-old now hosts frequent yoga and Peloton classes, and is nearing the two-year anniversary of joining the Peloton team.

Outside of her career, Roberts dedicates her time to husband Shane Roberts, who she married in 2015. The pair moved from Atlanta to New York City, prompting the yoga teacher to switch gears in her career and discover Peloton classes.

Although Chelsea is often in the spotlight, Shane keeps a relatively low profile and rarely – if ever – makes an appearance on her Instagram.

Yoga teacher drops baby bombshell

Fitness fanatics who joined Dr Chelsea Jackson Roberts’ 30 min Gospel Slow Flow Yoga Class over the weekend were in for a huge surprise.

During the class, Roberts announced her first pregnancy with husband Shane, going on to thank members for their support.

“The sun for me right now is that I can celebrate that my husband and I are expecting our first baby into the world. I love you Shane,” she shared.

“I love our family. Both our blood and by choice. I am so grateful to finally share this news. This has been a journey. There have been moments that you [the Peloton community] have held me in ways that you will never know, as I have moved through my own storm.”

“I am grateful as you open your arms as my family starts to expand. I want to thank you for being a part of my village. The way that you say that I show up for you, please understand, I feel that 100 times over,” the Peloton instructor added.

Fans and friends congratulate Chelsea Jackson Roberts

Amid the baby bombshell, fans and friends of the yoga instructor have taken to social media to congratulate her.

“Sooo happy for you,” one person wrote.

“We’re so grateful for you. Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy,” another commented.

“Congratulations Chelsea! Wishing you all the best,” somebody else added.
