Eduardo Valseca was an art trader who resided on a 10,000-acre ranch in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, with his wife Jayne Rager and their three children.

Unfortunately, Eduardo was abducted, and the kidnappers demanded a $8 million ransom, which Jayne was unable to pay due to their lack of financial resources.

Eduardo had been malnourished and tortured by cartel members until both the kidnappers and Jayne agreed to a ransom of less than a million dollars.

Eduardo Valseca is still alive and well, raising his three children. After such a tragic occurrence, they appear to be happy and stable.

Eduardo Valseca was the son of a Mexican newspaper tycoon, but he did not inherit his father’s entire fortune; they lived comfortably, but not well enough to be successful.

He also married Jayne in 1994, and the two of them settled in the desert of Central Mexico, where he rode horses while his wife took care of the garden.

Following his disappearance, the family relocated to the Washington suburbs of Maryland. Jayne grew up in the same neighborhood and attended the University of Maryland.

Jayne Valseca, Eduardo Valseca’s wife, died of breast cancer complications at the age of 45. After the kidnapping, she collaborated with Mark Ebner on a book called “We Have Your Husband,” which was published in 2011.

She has also gone on NBC’s Today show and ABC’s “Dateline” news program to express her sentiments and truth, and she has been a key member of the effort to assist the families and victims of Mexico’s violent cartel.

To be clear, her children relocated to Maryland Washington, where they attended a local high school and are currently pursuing their goals.

Many others have related Eduardo Valseca’s story, including Valseca himself. Mark and his wife also co-wrote a book called “We Have Your Husband,” which chronicles his ordeal from kidnapping to freedom.

Eduardo and his wife were initially targeted by the Cartel guys after dropping their children off at school and going home when an SUV plowed into them and a truck crashed into their back end.

Jayne was dumped at an unknown place, where a message was discovered in which the kidnapper demanded a $8 million ransom, but both parties later agreed on a lower amount.

Eduardo, on the other hand, was beaten frequently by Sinaloa members, and when he was released, he had three fractured ribs and was underweight.
