Yadier Molina is an American baseball catcher who has been out of action for 16 games because of an injury. He is still resting at home.

Yadier Benjamin Molina, who goes by the nickname “Yadi,” is a Major League Baseball catcher for the St. Louis Cardinals (MLB). Since 2004, when he started playing professionally in MLB, he has played for Louis.

Molina was born in Puerto Rico, where he was raised by a family of baseball fans. His father had the most hits in Puerto Rico baseball history, and he taught all three of his sons how to play.

The catcher has won the World Series twice and won the Gold Glove Award nine times. As a player, he has more than 2100 hits, and as a catcher, he has 845 assists.

Molina is known not only for being a great baseball player, but also for giving back to the community. In 2017, he started a fundraiser to help the people of Puerto Rico who had been hurt by Hurricane Maria.

What Happened To Yadier Molina – Where Is He Today?

After Yadier Molina hurt his knee for a long time, the Cardinals put him on the 10-day injured list on June 10.

Molina had knee pain that made it hard for him to play in the first few months of the season. Even though he was hurt, he tried to stay in the game. The Cardinals put him on the injured list because he was sick.

Now that Yadi is taking a break, all the pressure is on Andrew Knizner. But Andrew has been getting a lot of criticism for not living up to what the team wants from him.

Ivan Herrera, a rookie catcher from Triple-A Memphis, was called up to take Molina’s place.

Molina is on his season break in his home country of Puerto Rico. No official word has come out about when the catcher will be able to play again. He seems to be resting and spending time with his family right now.

Yadier Molina Injury & Surgery Details

Yadier, who is 39 years old, hurt his right knee, so the team made him rest for about two weeks.

The player’s batting average is.278 and he has hit 178 home runs. Molina was already getting a lot of cortisone shots to help with the pain. After the inflammation got worse over the course of several months, he was finally taken out of the season.

In a game against the Chicago Cubs earlier in 2018, he was out in the eighth inning. Kris Bryant’s foul ball went 101 miles per hour and hit him in the pelvis.

Molina was taken to the emergency right away in the middle of the game. He had to have surgery to fix the pelvic hematoma, and then he was put on the list of people who can’t work.

After that, Yadi was healthy and at his best for the next three seasons. But it turns out that he is hurt for the rest of the season and will have to rest until he is fully well again.
