The Conservative Party is investigating claims that a Tory MP was watching a lewd film on his phone while sitting next to a female minister in the Commons chamber.
Female Conservative MPs met with Chris Heaton-Harris on Monday night to express their dissatisfaction with sexism in the House of Commons, with one claiming that a male colleague was watching pornography next to her.
Heaton-Harris was advised by a group of 12 to 14 female MPs that something needs to be done about sexist behaviour among Tory male MPs. They also demanded that three members of the cabinet be investigated for alleged inappropriate sexual behaviour.

The Conservative Party’s top whip is investigating allegations that a Tory MP was watching pornography on his phone while in the Commons chamber.
“The chief whip is looking into this situation,” the party’s whips office said in a statement released on Wednesday. That behaviour is considered to be completely unacceptable, and the whip has stated that harsh action will be taken.
The accusation is believed to have been made during a meeting of 2022, a female grouping of Conservative backbench MPs from the 1922 group, held yesterday. Between 50 and 60 female Conservative MPs are thought to have attended the event.
Two members of the public notified Chief Whip Chris Heaton-Harris to the fact that an MP had been caught watching pornography in both the chamber and a committee.
The incident was brought up by a minister during a normal meeting of Tory MPs on Tuesday night, according to the BBC. Another MP corroborated her story.

At Prime Minister’s Questions, Caroline Lucas, a Green Party MP, revealed the Parliamentary authorities were investigating 56 MPs for sexual misconduct, including three cabinet ministers. She asked Prime Minister Boris Johnson if sexual misconduct could lead to his dismissal under the ministerial code.
