Euphemia LatiQue Sumpter, better known by her stage name Tika Sumpter, is an American actress, singer, producer, host, and model. Sumpter began her career as the host of Best Friend’s Date.
Tika Sumpter is happily married to Nicholas James. Tika, 41, and Nicholas, 38, worked together on the OWN show The Haves and the Have Nots in 2015. Tika and Nicholas Are Happy Married Couple: Wedding Details Inside
Tika and Nicholas married on May 14, 2022, in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. They met on the set of their show The Haves and the Have Nots. Tika said in an interview about her marriage to Nick, with whom she has a five-year-old daughter named Ella, “We’re excited to be together and continue the journey.” “We both walked down the aisle with clear heads, knowing that the wedding was more than just a party. It was really for us.”
Chileno Bay Resorts & Residences, Auberge Resorts Collection, hosted both the wedding and reception. This location was chosen by the couple because it was close to their home state of California, and they wanted their guests to feel as if they were on vacation. “We wanted everyone to have fun and celebrate the long, amazing journey we’ve been on,” Tika says.
The bride walked down the aisle in a Galia Lahav wedding dress without straps and a veil that flowed behind her. The groom wore a custom Franc Milton suit that was a light blue colour. Sumpter also said that getting married won’t really change much for the couple, but that it will be fun to “call Nick my husband and hear him call me his wife.”

When Tika was on The Real in January 2017 and asked about the ring on her finger, the actress said she was engaged. Sumpter said that his Christmas Day proposal was “simple and just great.” In April 2017, James posted a picture of the three of them on his Instagram page. Nicholas James Muscarella is best known for his role as Officer Justin Lewis on The Haves and the Have Nots, which is a crime drama and soap opera. He has also been in the horror movie Prom Night (2008) and the action-crime movie NCIS: New Orleans (2014).
At first, he played comedy roles, mostly sketch comedy like on Saturday Night Live. He studied acting with well-known people, like acting coach Vincent Chase. He then took classes at Upright Citizen’s Bridge and went back to what he used to love, which was improv and sketch comedy.
