The wild internet conspiracy theory has been circulating the internet for some time now. But fans still can’t get over how similar Jennifer Lawrence looks to a young Dame Helen Mirren.

Helen Mirren and Jennifer Lawrence are the same person?
The conspiracy theory claim began when a Reddit user named JIkapomycc posted a thread entitled ‘Helen Mirren is the Jennifer Lawrence of the Seventies’. Interactions with the post sent it viral.
The Reddit user also used a photo to compare Mirren and Lawrence, writing “Helen Mirren is like Jennifer Lawrence of the seventies”. Another account named imgur also put together a side-by-side comparison of the actors.
Back in 2013, Daily Show host Jon Stewart even pointed the two actor’s resemblance out to Jennifer Lawrence herself.
Stewart said she bears an uncanny resemblance to a young Helen Mirren, exclaiming “That looks like you!” whilst holding up a photo of Mirren.
Jennifer was not convinced and neither was Stewart’s next guest on the show, Sir Ian McKellen who when asked about whether they had similarities quipped “Eh, not particularly”.
Dame Helen was also asked about it in an interview and said she thought Jen “is much more pretty than I ever was but there’s a great similarity actually, it’s very true”. How sweet!
The actress then compared their looks to one another: “She has these little fat cheeks that I used to have and as she gets older that will all fall away but she is going to be the most beautiful woman. She is a beautiful beautiful girl but she’s going to be the most spectacular woman.”
The dame concluded: “She is a wonderful actress, I am a huge fan.”
