Zoe Kravitz regrets brutal Will Smith dig

At the time of the Oscars 2022, Zoe posted an Instagram picture of herself at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party and in the caption, she wrote “and here is a picture of my dress at the party after the award show -where we are apparently screaming profanities and assaulting people on stage now.”

An Instagram user took to the comments section writing: ‘You don’t support him defending his wife?’ Zoe replied: “nope.”

At the end of July, Will issued an apology video posted to Instagram where he addressed his “unacceptable” actions and confirmed that Chris was “not ready to talk” just yet. Following this, it appears Kravitz regrets her dig.

In a new interview that recently surfaced, she told the Wall Street Journal: ‘I’m torn about what to say right now, because I’m supposed to just talk about it; I have very complicated feelings around it. I wish I had handled that differently. And that’s okay.’

Zoe continued: “It’s a scary time to have an opinion or to say the wrong thing or to make controversial art or statements or thoughts or anything.”

She noted that “It’s mostly scary because art is about conversation. That should, in my opinion, always be the point. The internet is the opposite of conversation. The internet is people putting things out and not taking anything in.”

Will Smith offers tearful apology at academy awards

Will slapped Chris onstage at the Oscars for making a bald joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, who had shaved her head because she suffers from alopecia.

‘Jada, I love you. GI Jane 2, can’t wait to see it,’ Chris jested, in reference to the 1997 movie starring Demi Moore with a shaved head. He was initially laughing but when Jada rolled her eyes, Will realised she was upset by the teasing, he then stormed onto the stage to give Chris a slap across the face.

Will returned to his seat and repeatedly screamed at Chris: “Keep my wife’s name out of your mouth!”

Will immediately issued a grovelling apology to the comedian, following the incident, as he returned to the stage to collect the Best Actor award for his role in King Richard.

Following the incident, Will resigned from the Academy and has been banned from attending the Oscars for 10 years. However, he is still able to win Oscars if his work meets the requirements.
