The Brentwood Police Department announced that a red-light runner led to a DUI arrest, possession of drugs and carrying a firearm in the vehicle.

According to police, on Saturday June 11, 23-year-old Andrew Carranza of the City of Oakley blew right through a red light and it was captured on a Brentwood Police officer’s dashcam.

A traffic stop was initiated and Carranza was found to be intoxicated. The officer also found a loaded semi-automatic pistol in the vehicle– the gun did not have a serial number.

Carranza was arrested for DUI, carrying a loaded gun, and possession of controlled substances and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility.
