A SERIES of burglaries planned by violent gangsters at the homes of the rich and famous has been foiled by cops.
Four Chileans had flown in to target high-end houses for cash and jewels.
But police intercepted them and found details of homes, believed to include those of Premier League footballers, celebs and multi-millionaires.
The raiders arrived at three London airports from Paris, Barcelona and Brussels in November and December.
Their research is said to have involved examining social media accounts for clues about targets.
The gang had a string of convictions — including for murder, robbery, intimidation, weapons and sex offences.
They had cash, said to be stolen, and a list of addresses in Surrey.
A source said: “They had a detailed outline of who they wanted to target and where.”

The men, aged 26 to 41, were arrested but police could not produce enough evidence for charges so kicked them out of the UK instead.
Surrey Police said: “On January 15, a vehicle was stopped in Esher.
“The occupants were arrested on suspicion of multiple offences including burglary.
“They have been deported.”
Their plot echoes that of an Italian gang who targeted the home of Tamara Ecclestone, 37, in a £26million raid in 2019.
They took part in the biggest burglary spree in UK criminal history.
Other victims included footie boss Frank Lampard, 43.
