A man and woman were initially arrested on suspicion of assault and later on suspicion of murder in connection with the little boy’s death.

Following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, dad Oliver Mailey has been charged with the baby’s murder.

The woman previously arrested was released with no further action.
