The Tinder Swindler is a Netflix true-crime documentary and is based on the real-life story of Cecilie Fjellhoy, Pernilla Sjoholm, and Ayleen Charlotte, all of whom were conned by Shimon Hayut.
The documentary features all three of Hayut’s victims as they tell their stories of how a dating app made them lose fortunes.

Who is Shimon Hayut?
Hayut, 31, is known as an Israeli conman who has scammed multiple women out of money over the years.
Hayut, who used the alias Simon Leviev, pretended to be a billionaire playboy as well as the son of Russian-Israeli diamond mogul, Lev Leviev.
He often called himself “the prince of diamonds.”
The conman had previously spent two years in jail for defrauding three other women in 2015 but started his scam again soon after his release in 2017.
He was able to con women by reportedly sending pictures of himself in Ferraris and wearing other designer luxuries.
Hayut was then arrested again in 2019 and sentenced to 15 months in prison ordered to pay $43,289 in compensation but was released again after only serving five months, according to Radio Times.

Expressing his opinions, he stated: “I’m not this monster. I was just a single guy that wanted to meet some girls on Tinder.”
