Georgia police are looking for an 18-year-old man with autism who walked away from his hotel room Sunday afternoon.

Carlos Stiven Diaz-Barrios is believed to have been wearing blue jeans and a navy blue long sleeved shirt (pictured), Marietta police said.

His mother said that her son likes to walk around the Motel 6 property, where they’ve stayed for more than a month, but he hasn’t left the property on his own before.

Witnesses reported seeing Carlos on Delk Road at about 9 p.m.

“While he does not like to be alone, he may not respond the way you would traditionally expect if confronted by a stranger,” police said.

Anyone with information should call 911.
