Two people are believed to be trapped in a coastal cave at Demons Bluff in Anglesea, south of Melbourne.

Life Saving Victoria are leading the rescue with the assistance of Fire Rescue, Country Fire Authority, Ambulance Victoria, Victoria Police and the SES.

A Facebook post from Crime Watch Victoria said the cave is now beginning to fill with rising water while the two people are trapped inside.

A spokeswoman from Ambulance Victoria told the Geelong Adviser emergency services received a call at about 11.50am.
