In addition to Anne’s DNA being found on the murder weapon, investigators reportedly found a note on how to use a gun. Furthermore, her internet search history revealed she was looking up how to kill someone.
Investigators reported that her motive for murdering her husband may have been her anger when she found out about her husband’s extramarital affair.
Another possible motive cited by investigators could have been a desire to claim Bill’s insurance money worth $500,000.
Due to the overwhelming evidence, Anne Marie Stout was found guilty of deliberate homicide in a trial that ended in September 2018.
