Fans were quick to share comforting words for Amy Slaton Haltermann in the comments of her Instagram post. “The fact that even at 22 years she was so full of energy shows how much you all loved and cared about her,” one wrote. “She definitely lived a long loving life that you gave to her and now she’ll be your guardian angel for always! Sorry for your loss,” another added.
Of course, Amy wasn’t the only person in the family to miss their beloved pet. The TLC star took to Twitter to share some details about how her son Gage tried to comfort Little Bit during her last days. “Few days before we lost little (sic). Gage tried to share his milk with her. Because i tell him milk make u big and strong,” Amy wrote.
After Little Bit died, Gage was heartbroken. Amy shared that he stayed up crying until 4 a.m. Thankfully, the family has each other for comfort as they grieve their loss.
