Dakota Kai is a professional wrestler who was born in New Zealand. Cheree Georgina Crowley is her real name. She is currently employed by the WWE. Crowley made her wrestling debut on December 15, 2007. Her first company, Impact Pro Wrestling, was based in Auckland.
Back then, she chose the Ring Name Evie, which is a reference to the Pokemon Eevee. Her favorite hobby is gaming, and her favorite is Pokemon; thus, she chose the name Evie.
It was way before she joined the WWE and took on the ring name Dakota Kai. Dakota Kai is now her stage name rather than her given name. She also wrestled for several independent promotions in New Zealand and Australia. Only after this did she break into American wrestling.

2017 was the year when she began wrestling on NXT. For the next two years, she tried her hands at singles and tag matches. It was also during this time period she met Tegan Nox. They together formed a team and called it the Team Kicks.
After Two Years with Team Kick, in 2019, she joined Team Ripley at WarGames. It was the same time she began her feud with her former friend Tegan Nox. Their fight started when Dakota Kai attacked her in a street fight at Takeover Portland. She easily defeated Tegan Nox, causing a rift between them.
Her separation from Nox led to her meeting Raquel Gonzalez. The duo had perfect chemistry, and that made them win several matches and rivalries.
The most notable win was In 2021 when Kai and Gonzalez won the inaugural Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. The duo stayed as a team for a year before they split in 2022 when she turned against Raquel. This resulted in a rivalry that ended with Gonzales defeating Kai at War Games.
