On September 21, Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, a highly anticipated crime drama series, will at long last be available to stream on Netflix. It tells the horrible true story of one of the most prominent serial killers in the United States, Jeffrey Dahmer, as well as the gruesome murders he committed between the years of 1978 and 1991. In 1991, after going on a killing rampage that lasted for more than a decade, Jeffrey Dahmer was ultimately apprehended and arrested for his crimes. Jeffrey Dahmer had an upbringing that may be described as difficult. Because his parents had such persistent problems in their marriage, Dahmer was left with a feeling of abandonment and isolation. His mother, Joyce, struggled with periods of depression while his father, Lionel Dahmer, was gone from the house for a significant portion of his life. Even a teacher at Dahmer’s elementary school observed how much he had changed over the years. The signals of abandonment started to appear in his behaviour. The following year, in 1966, Joyce gave birth to David Dahmer, which was Dahmer’s younger brother. He was even allowed to choose the name for him, but as Dahmer realised that their parents loved and paid more attention to their older brother than they did to him, their relationship took a decidedly negative turn.
Following the dissolution of his parents’ marriage, Dahmer made the decision to reside with his father, while his mother and younger brother relocated to Wisconsin to be closer to his mother’s family. In a relatively short period of time following that, Dahmer committed his first gruesome murder.
The lives of Dahmer’s family members were irrevocably altered after he was found guilty of murdering 17 young men and boys and dismembering their bodies. They were subjected to ongoing harassment, and some members of the family even moved away in an effort to put the incident in the past. Where is Jeffrey Dahmer’s family at this point in time?

What happened to Jeffrey Dahmer’s father?
Lionel Dahmer and his new wife Shari paid Jeffrey Dahmer regular visits while he was doing his time in prison. Jeffrey Dahmer passed away in the year 1994. Lionel has even penned a book with the title A Father’s Story, in which he describes his perspective of Jeffrey’s life and what it was like to be the father of a notorious serial killer. In this book, Lionel offers his version of Jeffrey’s story. After conducting some investigation, it looks that Lionel Dahmer is still around in the year 2022. However, it is not known for certain.
In an interview that Lionel gave to People in 1994, Lionel reportedly mentioned how Jeffrey’s grandmother was afraid to leave her home as a result of the persistent harassment that she received from the reporters that sat outside of her house. Because of the horrible atrocities committed by Jeffrey, his grandmother was forced to spend the majority of the rest of her life in constant fear until she passed away in 1992.

What happened to Joyce Flint?
According to a report that was published in the Los Angeles Times, Joyce relocated to Fresno, California, not long before Jeffrey Dahmer was taken into custody by the authorities. Prior to beginning her role as a case manager for the Central Valley AIDS Team, she was the manager of a retirement community in that location. She remained active in the field of HIV and AIDS care until her passing in the year 2000. According to an interview that Joyce gave to Hard Copy, Joyce maintained contact with Jeffrey on a weekly basis while he was behind bars by calling him on Sunday evenings. Joyce also mentioned that while Jeffrey was incarcerated, she paid him a visit at least once.

What happened to David Dahmer?
After David Dahmer completed his education at the University of Cincinnati, he adopted a new identity, changed his name, and disappeared. Since then, neither his whereabouts nor his name have been reported. David has entirely disassociated himself from his older brother and his horrible actions, and he has not participated in any interviews pertaining to his brother. In the year 2022, it is not known whether David is still alive.

DAHMER – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story offers a novel perspective on the Jeffrey Dahmer case by retelling the events of the case from Dahmer’s point of view. The book demonstrates how Dahmer was able to avoid capture on numerous occasions because to the racial bias of the law enforcement officials. In 1991, a 14-year-old Laotian boy escaped from Jeffrey Dahmer’s residence, but the police returned the scared child to Dahmer after he claimed they were a couple who had gotten into a dispute. This is just one example of how the police failed to do their jobs properly. After killing the youngster, Dahmer violated his body in many ways.
