After eight seasons on “The Voice,” singer Kelly Clarkson has announced that she is stepping away from her coaching duties (via the Independent). She has had an impressive run on the show, with one of her team members taking home the win a total of four times. She hasn’t shared why she is leaving, but fans are convinced it’s because of her new show, “American Song Contest,” that she is hosting alongside the legendary Snoop Dogg.
Now that Clarkson is stepping away from the singing competition show, fans were dying to know who would take her place. It was recently announced that the “Havana” singer Camila Cabello will be taking over Clarkson’s chair on “The Voice” (per CNN).
The show’s Twitter account announced the news, showing a video of the coaching team meeting on video chat. Fans can expect to see Cabello sitting alongside John Legend, Gwen Stafani, and Blake Shelton in those moving chairs.
