Comedy dream team Paul Rudd and Seth Rogen keep the laughs rolling with their Super Bowl 2022 commercial. Their longtime friendship is the focus of Lay’s first Super Bowl ad in almost two decades, per People, and makes for hilarious material. In the YouTube video, the comedians relive their golden years right before Rogen’s wedding takes place.
Only, the scenarios become increasingly over-the-top and absurd. From a road trip with the music up and windows down to casually breaking up a turf war, Lay’s chips were always there. Rudd and Rogen’s fabricated “trip down memory lane” was a hit, and racked up positive reactions online. This isn’t the first time the comedy duo have worked together, with “Anchorman”, “40-Year-Old Virgin,” and “Knocked Up” being some of their popular collaborations, per Newsweek.
The “This is the End” stars jokingly hinted at their extensive film collaborations in the potato chips commercial. Rudd admitted that he’s never seen any of Rogen’s movies, despite the fact that they’ve starred in many together. They’re also so close that Rudd once pranked Rogen with a massage, earning him the nickname “Paul Rubb” on Twitter.
