Working on “Knives Out” was an exciting experience for Katherine Langford, especially considering all the big-name creatives attached to the project. Speaking to The List about how she chooses projects, she said, “It’s always important to be passionate about the story that you’re telling.” In “Knives Out,” she was also thrilled to be working with the talented cast, including Jamie Lee Curtis, Daniel Craig, Toni Collette, and Chris Evans. “Working on ‘Knives Out’ was such an incredible experience. Being able to be in the room with some of the greatest talents in our industry in one room, I definitely learned a lot,” Langford said.
While on set, she often enjoyed standing behind the monitors to watch the other actors filming. Director Rian Johnson saw her doing that and gave her a thoughtful gift because of it. “At the end of the shoot, he gave me this beautiful Leica camera to practice on,” Langford said. So perhaps we can look forward to Langford foraying into filmmaking behind the camera in the future.
