The Red Devils have come under intense scrutiny in 2021/22 and boss Ralf Rangnick will be determined to steer the ship into calmer waters going forward.

Cristiano Ronaldo has faced particular pressure lately having failed to hit the heights since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s departure.

Brighton sit ninth in the table and are currently enjoying a seven-game undefeated streak in the Premier League stretching back to mid-December.

Graham Potter’s men will be keen to keep their season ticking by with a good result here.

Our prediction: Man Utd v Brighton

United are going nowhere fast. They’ve drawn 1-1 with Middlesbrough, Burnley and Southampton in their last three outings and desperately lack strong hearts playing for the shirt.

Brighton are draw specialists and will make life very difficult for United’s lukewarm attacking unit on Tuesday.

Potter would usually be more than happy to take a point away from Old Trafford but given the instability among the United squad, he could be aiming for a little more.

Our prediction: Man Utd 1-1 Brighton (13/2 at bet365)
