Spoilers for Season 4 of Stranger Things are coming up.

Stranger Things, which takes place in the 1980s, has always had a close relationship with music, using a wide range of classic songs to set the scene.

Music is a big part of season 4 because it’s one of the few ways the Hawkins gang can fight back against Vecna, a dangerous creature that wants to kill them.

Eddie Munson, a new character, can be seen playing an electric guitar while in the Upside Down in several trailers for the new season. What song does he play in Stranger Things season 4?

THE GANG’S PLAN TO DEFEAT VECNA

Vecna is the most dangerous enemy we’ve seen in Stranger Things. In season 4, he goes on a killing spree, hoping to open four gates between our world and the Upside Down to bring about the end of everything.

The scary bad guy may seem invincible at first, but the Hawkins gang figures out how to defeat him by using what they know about Eleven.

Dustin figures out that when Vecna comes to our world, his body must be in a trance-like state in the Upside Down, leaving it defenseless. So, the gang comes up with a plan to attack him when he is the weakest.

The plan is very risky, though, because while Steve, Robin, and Nancy go into the Upside Down to kill Vecna, Max has to stay in our world and act as bait.

Eddie and Dustin also go into the Upside Down to distract the Demobats that serve and protect Vecna. This gives Steve, Robin, and Nancy as much time as possible to kill Vecna.

WHAT SONG DOES EDDIE PLAY IN THE UPSIDE DOWN IN STRANGER THINGS?

Master Of Puppets by Metallica is the song that Eddie plays while he is in the Upside Down.

Eddie and Dustin go to the Upside Down version of Eddie’s trailer to get the Demobats’ attention. There, Eddie finds an electric guitar that he says will help save the world.

Eddie likes everything heavy metal, so he plays Master Of Puppets by Metallica to bring some rock and roll to the Upside Down.

The plan works because the music gets the bats’ attention and gives Steve, Robin, and Nancy the time they need to find Vecna and kill him.

Since Vecna has been pulling the strings from inside the Upside Down from the start, Master of Puppets seems like a good song to use to show that he is about to lose.

THE HISTORY OF METALLICA’S MASTER OF PUPPETS

Master of Puppets came out in March 1986, the same year Stranger Things 4 takes place.

The song is the second track on Metallica’s self-titled album, which is still considered one of the best thrash metal albums of all time and is on many lists of the best albums of the 20th century.

Between 1991, when Nielsen SoundScan ratings started, and 2009, a whopping 4,578,000 copies of the album were sold.

The Master Of Puppets song has been played more than 423 million times on Spotify, and that number is only going to go up now that it has been used in Stranger Things.
