Beanie Feldstein is slated to depart the Broadway production of Funny Girl as of September 25, producers said on Wednesday.
The 28-year-old actress is set to come back to the musical on Thursday after missing a week after she tested positive for coronavirus.
A tweet from the show on Wednesday read: ‘Beanie returns tomorrow! 14 weeks left to see Beanie Feldstein & Jane Lynch now through September 25th. Stay tuned for additional casting news to join Ramin Karimloo & Jared Grimes and the company of Funny Girl.’

Feldstein took to Instagram on Wednesday to address her departure from the musical comedy, which has been running at the August Wilson Theatre.
‘I’ll never be able to find the words that could even begin to explain what the experience has been to me,’ the Los Angeles native said.
She continued: ‘To every single person that brings Funny Girl to life on stage every day at the August Wilson- to every dresser, usher, front of house, spot operator, props, automation, to the incredible offstage company who are the heroes of Broadway, to every orchestra member, security guard, the genius hair team, my sound team buddies and of course my angels on stage with me every night… all of the people of Funny Girl: I love you.

Feldstein said she ‘gave and will continue to give this show all of me,’ and is ‘immensely proud to be a bagel on a plate full of onion rolls.
‘I am so deeply grateful for every other bagel that comes to Henry Street with us every night. Can’t wait to see you all there through September.’
Replacements for Feldstein and Lynch, who plays Mrs. Rose Brice in the production, were not immediately announced amid news of their departures. Julie Benko has stood in for Feldstein amid her absence due to COVID-19.
The announced personnel changes come as neither Feldstein or Lynch received Tony Award nominations for their efforts in the production, and box office totals slumped when Feldstein was unable to perform, Deadline reported.

The show’s Jared Grimes, who received the show’s only Tony nomination for Best Featured Actor/Musical for playing Eddie Ryan, and Ramin Karimloo, who portrays the role of Nick Arnstein, are expected to stay with the show following Feldstein and Lynch’s exits, Deadline reported.
The show’s initial incarnation starring Barbra Streisand ran on Broadway from March of 1964 thru July of 1967. The musical was nominated for nine Tony Awards, according to Broadway World, with late composer Jule Styne winning Best Musical honors.
The 1968 film adaptation, directed by William Wyler, garnered eight Academy Award nominations, with Streisand winning Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance.
