BRIAN Laundrie suggested in his final words that he saw his parents after killing Gabby Petito and urged the public not to make his family’s “life harder”.

Laundrie, 23, penned his final thoughts into his notebook, which came to light on Friday, months after his skeletal remains were found in the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park last October.

The 23-year-old alluded to how he went home to spend “any time” he had with his family after her “mercifully” killed Gabby Petito.

“I rushed home to spend any time I had with my family. I wanted to drive north and let James or TJ kill me but I wouldn’t want them to spend time in jail over my mistake, even though I’m sure they would have liked to,” Laundrie is believed to have written.

“I am ending my life, not because of a fear of punishment but rather because I can’t stand to live another day without her.

“I’ve lost out whole future together, every moment we could have cherished. I’m sorry for everyone’s loss. Please do not make life harder for my family, they lost a son and a daughter. The most wonderful girl in the world. Gabby I’m sorry.”

FINAL WORDS

Brian Laundrie admitted to ‘ending’ Gabby Petito’s life in notebook confession

He continued: “I have killed myself by this creek in the hopes that animal may tear me apart. That it may make some of her family happy.

“Please pick up all of my things. Gabby hated people who litter.”

The journal was released by the Laundrie family attorney Steven Bertolino, who received it from the FBI.

Federal agents recovered the notebook from the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park on October 20, 2021, the location where Brian’s skeletal remains were discovered.

‘MERCIFUL’ KILLING

The 23-year-old also claimed responsibility for Gabby’s death, calling it a “merciful” killing.

“I ended her life. I thought it was merciful, that it is what she wanted, but I see now all the mistakes I made. I panicked. I was in shock.

“From the moment I decided, took away her pain, I knew I couldn’t go on without her,” he continued.

He also claimed Gabby was dealing with some sort of injury and would “wake in pain”.

“She would wake in pain, start her whole painful cycle again, while furious that I was the one waking her,” the 23-year-old wrote.

“She wouldn’t let me try to cross the creek, thought like me that the fire would go out in her sleep, and she’d freeze.

“I don’t know the extent of Gabby’s injuries, only that she was in extreme pain.”

GABBY’S PARENTS IN COURT

The Petito family is suing the Laundrie family after authorities claimed that Brian Laundrie was responsible for the vlogger’s death.

The Petito family, including parents Joseph Petito and Nicole Schmidt, allege that Laundrie’s parents, Chris and Roberta, knew that Gabby was dead and chose not to do anything.

The lawyer for the Laundrie family, Steve Bertolino, filed a motion to have the case dismissed, but the court trial is currently underway in Sarasota County, Florida.

Bertolino recently spoke with NewsNation’s “Banfield” about the possible regrets about the legal advice he gave to his clients.

“Because they haven’t been in trouble so far … do you have any regrets? Do you think you should have had them talk to the media or perhaps seem a little more human?,” NewsNation host Brian Entin asked the lawyer.

“Even though you protected them legally, do you think you made any mistakes along the way since now they are, in many ways, it seems hated by the world?”

Bertolino responded by saying that the whole ordeal has been emotional for his clients and himself.

“You know, hated is one word, vilified is another … It’s emotional for me, it’s emotional for Chris and Roberta because we are friends, they did lose a child,” Bertolino said.

“They lost a young man that I knew since he was born and yeah, that’s upsetting. I did everything the right way. We have no regrets.”
