A CHIPPY is choc full of customers after serving up Easter eggs deep fried in batter.
The gooey grub started on a taster menu but got such an amazing response they are now being offered at all ten Papa’s branches.
Boss George Papadamou says the stunt is their most daring yet.
He added: “We’ve been frying for over 50 years as a family and are constantly trying crazy ideas.
“For Easter we used an egg full of Smarties because a hollow one would be underwhelming.
“We make a secret recipe batter then get the pan hot — over 180 degrees!
“When the batter and egg hits the pan it cooks straight away and needs to seal quickly so that egg doesn’t crack.
“Some people think it will taste horrible. But you get the sweetness of chocolate combined with the savoury from batter.
“It tastes like a pancake or waffle with melted chocolate inside.”
George, 30, and his team in Cleethorpes, Lincs, have also tried Creme Eggs and a Colin the Caterpillar cake.
He added: “You have to prep it right to avoid a chocolate explosion. Luckily our guys know what they’re doing and we have a lot of fun.”
