The general public is curious about Thomas Burchard Muder, a 71-year-old clinician and psychiatrist from Monterey, California.
He lived in Salinas with his lifelong partner, Judy Earp. In the early 2000s, the couple met on a trip to Las Vegas with mutual friends.
Burchard was involved in the lives of Judy’s four children despite the fact that they had never had children together. In the years leading up to his death, Burchard had a platonic relationship with Kelsey Turner, a Playboy model.
A Model Murder is an episode of ABC’s 20/20 that details how Turner and Kennison murdered Burchard. On February 24, 2023, at 9 p.m. EST, the above-mentioned network will air A Model Murder.
Chris Connelly, the program’s host, guides the broadcast as he gathers first-person accounts from those engaged in Burchard’s case. Viewers can walk to Hulu to stream the special when the episode’s cable premiere ends.
Thomas Burchard Muder: Kelsey Turner Arrested For Killing Her Sugar Daddy
Since 2019, Turner and her ex-boyfriend Jon “Logan” Kennison have been detained for the murder of child therapist Dr. Thomas Burchard.
They are charged with using a baseball bat to kill the 71-year-old psychiatrist before stuffing his corpse into Turner’s Mercedes trunk.
The victim’s fiancée, Judy Earp, asserts that over several years, Burchard paid Turner about $300,000 to be his “sugar baby.” She’s such a ubiquitous liar that I have to see for myself, Burchard allegedly said as he left the room, according to Earp.
Turner’s car, which had been abandoned on a desert road outside of Las Vegas, had Burchard’s corpse in the trunk when it was found.
On March 21, 2019, Turner was taken into custody by Las Vegas Police and FBI officers in Stockton, California, and three years passed during her sentencing.
After Kennison entered a guilty plea in July 2022, she consented to take an Alford guilty plea.
She maintained innocence until she agreed to the plea agreement on November 9, 2022. Kesley was sentenced to 10 to 25 years in jail on January 10, 2023.
In June 2022, Kennison entered a guilty plea to second-degree murder with a deadly instrument and murder conspiracy. He received a sentence of 18 to 45 years for his involvement in the crime.
Diana Pena, the couple’s roommate, admitted to being an accessory to homicide and gave the prosecution crucial information. Turner is presently detained at the Nevada Florence McClure Women’s Detention Facility.
