A GIRL has died after allegedly going into cardiac arrest at a leisure centre in South West London.
The 10-year-old girl passed away as emergency services were called to Putney Leisure Centre this afternoon.
Officers and ambulances were called to the centre on Dryburgh Road just after 2.30pm today following the tragic ordeal.
The girl was rushed to hospital, where she sadly died a short while later.
The schoolgirl’s death is being treated as unexplained – but it’s allegedly understood that she went into cardiac arrest.
Emergency services were spotted outside the leisure centre this afternoon.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 2.38pm today (19 April) to reports of an incident at Putney Leisure Centre.
“We sent a number of resources including an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic, two medics in fast response cars and an incident response officer.
“We treated a patient at the scene and took them as a priority to hospital.”
Met Police said that the 10-year-old’s next of kin had been informed.
