Morlock’s thirst for knowledge in music did not stop there, as she obtained a master of Music degree and a Doctorate of Musical Arts from the University of British Columbia.

Her studies at these prestigious institutions gave her a deeper understanding of music theory and composition, which she has since used to create numerous pieces that have earned her critical acclaim.

Even though he isn’t there anymore, she loves the memories they shared, like how he used to send her Far Side comics in the mail. One of them still has a special place on her fridge. Interestingly, she and her Father also share remarkably similar eyebrows.

The musician’s international career took off after her “Bird in the Tangled Sky” quartet performed at the 1999 International Society for Contemporary Music’s World Music Days in Romania.

This led to a Top 10 ranking at the 2002 International Rostrum of Composers and being named the 2004 Canadian Music Centre Prairie Region Emerging Composers competition winner.

The musician is known for her unique style of music. Her pieces have quirky, eccentric postmodernism, but they are still based on emotion.
