A PINT-SIZED squaddie is facing the toughest battle of her life – to win Miss Great Britain.
Georgie Goodey, 27, has served in the Army for the past seven years.
But she is swapping her military boots for high heels as she hopes to win the national title later this year.
Georgie, of Billericay, usually wakes up at 5.30am to take part in gruelling training exercises and spends her days wearing military fatigues.
But she swaps them for sequin bikinis and six-inch heels when taking part in beauty pageants.
And she also loves splashing out on lip fillers, Botox treatments and fake tan to ensure she looks her best, and keeps in shape by weightlifting.
Georgie – already crowned Miss Essex – said: “People never believe me when I say I’m in the British Army and a power-lifter and that’s okay, but it’s ignorance on their part.
“Just because I like having my hair and makeup done and would consider myself a girly girl, it doesn’t mean I’m afraid to get my hands dirty. I use the weekends to get my fillers.
“I’ve had some trolling because I have lip filler and Botox. In my spare time, I do everything I can to make myself feel more girly.
“I will make an effort at the weekend because it’s nice when you don’t have to be wearing uniform to do what you want.
“I have my hair done, I tan, I’ll curl my hair and put my extensions in sometimes if I want to.
“I wear false nails at the weekends sometimes.”
Georgie, who is just 5ft 3 tall, said while some of her comrades have been critical, the majority are supportive of her beauty pageant goals.
She said: “Some people think it’s really cool and see it as a positive for female recruitment.”
The final of Miss GB takes place in October.
