THIS is the terrifying moment a huge poisonous spider slips through the crack of a CLOSED van door.
The horrifying huntsman managed to slither into the vehicle as a helpless couple watched on.
TikTok users @gawnedsgapyear shared the video that’s sure to make your skin crawl as they set up camp Down Under.
The adventurous pair regularly post updates of their travels across Australia and Canada.
But they shared a video documenting the less glamorous side of their extraordinary journey with their thousands of followers.
In the clip, they showed how they tried to get rid of two huntsman spiders who had climbed inside their van.
Using sticks to try and scare them off, they managed to spook one of the enormous eight-legged creatures, causing it to scurry along the edge of the car.
But rather than taking its chance at freedom, the unfazed huntsman opted to squeeze itself through the tiny gap in the closed door.
The incredible footage shows the spider somehow wedging its way back inside as the couple scream in horror.
They then found its hiding spot inside and again tried to get rid of it with a stick, flicking it onto the ground below.
But it turns out their arachnid ordeal wasn’t over yet – as two days later, they found another huntsman clinging onto the ceiling of their car.
Zooming in on the huge spider, the man wearily says: “You’re kidding,” while his partner adds: “I’m not sleeping tonight.”
But after realising one of them “has to be brave”, the woman courageously grabs a tupperware box to trap it in.
She manages to secure the huntsman in one fell swoop and seals it inside by putting the lid on the container.
She then boasts how her efficient spider-catching skills have now made her a “spider goddess”.
The triumphant traveller then explains she is heading “far far away” from their van before releasing the pesky spider back into the wild.
“There are 100 acres here, I’m going to take it to the 99th acre,” she joked.
TikTok users were left astonished by the huntsman’s determination and ability to contort its body to squeeze inside the van.
One commented: “I think I just had a heart attack!”
Another added: “Dear God! I would not sleep in there.”
While a third chimed in: “I will NEVER visit Australia for this reason. Petrified.”
Huntsman spiders are particularly common in Australia and are notorious for appearing inside people’s homes.
But the mini beasts are renowned for their enormous size, with males able to reach a leg span of between 10 and 12 inches.
They use venom to stun their prey but are not harmful to humans, however, they can be known to inflict a defensive bite if provoked.
Huntsmans are sometimes called giant crab spiders or wood spiders because they like to live in woody areas such as forests, sheds, and woodpiles.
