BRITS have kicked off the May bank holiday with a bang last night as they hit bars and clubs in their droves.
Late-night revellers were spotted lapping up the first night of a four-day long weekend in style.
Thousands of revellers are expected to hit pubs and clubs across the country to enjoy the latest long weekend.
It comes as Britain is set to be hotter than Madeira for the next few days with splendid 17C temps and pockets of sunshine.
It’s expected to be dry in most places with the odd shower breaking through.
And last night in Birmingham, partygoers took advantage of the heat to wear racy outfits as they made their way from club to club.
But one yob took things too far and was placed in the back of a cop wagon after repeatedly swearing at British Transport Police.
Cheering partiers also flocked to the streets in Leeds, with ladies dressed in revealing summer attire.
Some took the opportunity to wear skimpy outfits while one woman was spotted holding a drink between her bra.
And others wasted no time in lapping up easy-going vibes by dressing up as golfers and tennis players while carrying around massive inflatable clubs.

But for one sorry boozer clutching a drink stooped over a bus bench, the night was just too much.
The done-for youngster was surrounded by mates as he guzzled down his drink before passing out and being caught by pals.
The brilliant weather comes as bookies remain confident this coming May could be the hottest on record.
Ladbrokes have slashed their odds for the second time this week on 2022 playing host to the hottest summer on record.
Having been a 2/1 shot at the start of the week, it’s now just 6/4 with the bookies for the hottest summer EVER to be recorded this year.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Brits will soon be basking in record-breaking temperatures, if the latest odds are anything to go by.”
With predictions May could be the hottest on record, the Met Office has forecast dry conditions for the start of the month – continuing throughout the middle before turning as June closes in.
Its long range forecast reads: “Settled conditions look likely to continue dominating through mid-May across southern areas, with a lot of dry weather.
“Meanwhile, spells of rain may affect northern areas.
“Towards the end of May it is expected to turn more unsettled, with sunshine and showers, some of these likely heavy and thundery, for many parts of the country.
“Some drier days are still possible, as is usual for late spring.
“Temperatures most likely above normal for all areas, with an increased chance of warm spells.”
