A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD boy is dead after being shot during a drive-by shooting in Houston Sunday night.
According to police, a car pulled up and fired at the mobile home where the young boy was laying in bed before a bullet struck him.

The child was able to get up and tell his mother what happened to him before he collapsed in her arms.
His bedroom was reportedly near the front of the home.
Harris County Sheriff’s deputies said the boy was rushed to the hospital but could not be saved, eventually succumbing to his injuries.
“Outranged to learn that a 7-year-old child was killed during a drive-by shooting,” wrote Sheriff Ed Gonzalez in a tweet.
“I urge the community to come forward with any information related to this senseless act of gun violence.”
Gonzalez continued, “This is the daily toll of gun violence. Gun violence in the US can’t be viewed as a solitary issue. Let’s not accept daily gun violence as our norm.
“Our hearts go out to all those grieving in the wake of these shootings. We can and we must do more to stop gun violence.”
The boy’s two brothers were also inside the home at the time of the incident but were not injured.

Investigators found multiple shell casings outside the home.
Surveillance footage in the area is being checked to find out any information on who is responsible for the killing.
Police said there is no known motive for the shooting at this time and they didn’t “have any solid information” on a possible suspect.
