AT least eight people have been injured as two mass shootings hit Chicago just hours apart from each other.

A teen boy, 14, was among the victims after being shot in the arm on June 7.

Four people were targeted in a courtyard at the Altgeld Gardens housing project when a shooter opened fire.

A 24-year-old man was shot in the face, while a woman, 45, suffered a chest wound, NBC Chicago reports.

Cops said that a fourth person was shot in the arm.

The gunman hasn’t been identified as investigations continue.

Just hours later, four people were shot while standing on a sidewalk in the city’s West Side district.

Police revealed that two women, 30 and 43, were found in a serious condition.

Meanwhile, a man, who hasn’t been identified, was shot in the leg while another suffered a shoulder injury.

Cops said both victims are in a good condition.

Police have revealed that no arrests have been made.

A total of fifteen people were shot on Tuesday and cops confirmed there was one fatality.

Meanwhile, on June 8, two people were killed and five were left injured as gun violence raged across the city, Fox32 reported.

A man, 43, was found dead with a gunshot wound to his head, while a woman, 24, was killed while in the back seat of a car.

The victim was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where she was pronounced dead by doctors.

A 21-year-old man, who hasn’t been identified, was hospitalized in a serious condition after being shot while he was standing on the porch.

More than 700 people have been killed across America – just weeks after Salvador Ramos opened fire inside a Texas elementary school on May 24.

SPATE OF VIOLENCE

More than 90 people have been killed in mass shootings in Chicago between September 29 2018 and May 24, 2022, according to Gun Violence Archive data.

Researchers define a mass shooting as an event where four people or more have been shot or killed, excluding the shooter.

Statistics reveal that 811 is the combined number of those who have been killed and injured as a result of gun violence.

Philadelphia, New York City, Baltimore, and Houston make up the top five cities.

Criminal justice professor Arthur Lurigio told CBS News that cops must try and rebuild trust with the people living in Chicago’s neighborhoods.

At least five people were killed while 21 were left injured as a series of shootings rocked Chicago over the Memorial Day weekend.

‘SHOOTING LIKE CRAZY’

And, two people died and seven were injured after a shooting erupted outside a McDonalds restaurant in the city on May 19, the Chicago Tribune reported.

One person suffered burns after reportedly being injured on the Red Line subway line, a Chicago Fire Department spokesperson told the Tribune.

A witness said the victim was partially clothed and suffered injuries to her back.

Witness Deonna Jackson, 18, told the Chicago Sun-Times at the time: “We were at 7/11, we turn around and they just get to shooting like crazy.”

She told the Tribune: “I was getting off the train and I spotted a group of teens fighting.

“The teens started rushing towards me and they’re all attacking one person – they were jumping someone.”

The shooting happened near the city’s main shopping district known as the Magnificent Mile.

And, Sean Holliday, 16, died after being targeted following a dispute near the famous Bean sculpture on May 14, Fox32 reported.

The teen was taken to the hospital in critical condition but was later pronounced dead by medics.
