DETECTIVES have launched an urgent investigation after a schoolboy went missing from his home. 

Zayne, 12, vanished from his home address in Handsworth Wood at around 9.30pm last night.

Cops have said they are “extremely worried” about the missing schoolboy and launched the appeal in the early hours of the morning. 

Zayne is around 4ft 11ins tall with brown hair, and was last wearing blue jeans and a navy North Face puffer coat.

West Midlands Police posted at 3.20am: “Have you seen 12-year-old Zayne? 

“He was last seen at his home address in Handsworth Wood around 9.30pm last night and we’re extremely worried about him.

“Zayne is described as 4ft 11ins tall with brown hair and is wearing blue jeans, brown/gold Nike high-top boots and a navy North Face puffer coat.

“Please call us urgently on 999 if you can help quoting log 4081 of 10/4/.”
