THE University of Washington issued an urgent warning on Wednesday after two teens were stabbed near campus.

Police are still searching for a suspect who they say stabbed the victims in the University District before taking off on a bicycle.

The teen victims were stabbed after an altercation with the suspect at the U District Light Rail Station around 6pm local time, according to the Seattle Police Department.

“Police are at the scene of a stabbing in the 4300 block of Brooklyn Ave NE,” read a tweet from the agency.

“Two victims reported at this time. Officers are searching the area for a suspect. More information when available.”

UW sent out an emergency alert saying that the suspect may be on campus.

The victims were later revealed to be both males, ages 16 and 19. The 16-year-old was in stable condition while the 19-year-old was in critical condition, police said.

Witnesses at the scene told reporters that there was an altercation between the suspect and victims, resulting in the stabbing.

Police swarmed the University District and collected evidence in efforts to make an arrest.

Officers described the suspect as a 5-foot-8 white male with a medium build.

He was said to be wearing blue jeans and a black shirt carried a black bag.

Police were unable to locate him and no arrests had been announced as of early Thursday morning.
