Where is Nancy Pelosi today?
In an interview published on Monday, March 28, 2022, Nancy Pelosi addressed her concern over democracy should the Republican Party win the House.
“It is absolutely essential for our democracy that [Democrats] win,” she said via The Hill.
“I fear for our democracy if the Republicans were ever to get the gavel. We can’t let that happen.”
She continued: “I don’t have any intention of the Democrats losing the Congress in November.”
Earlier in March, Pelosi and fellow members of Congress virtually met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to address US lawmakers.
Zelensky once more pushed for a no-fly zone over Ukraine – a similar request made in several addresses by Zelensky to other NATO allies.
Speaker Pelosi said that the House intends to revoke Russia’s trade status as a “most favored nation.”
President Biden has backed this move.

Pelosi shared the announcement on Twitter, saying: “Our democracy is at risk because of assaults on the truth, the assault on the US capitol and the state-by-state assault on voting rights.
“This election is crucial. Nothing less is at stake than our democracy.”
She continued: “But as we say, we don’t agonize, we organize. And that is why I am running for re-election to Congress.”
